About me
I’m Laura Kyrke-Smith and I’m proud to serve as the first ever Labour MP and first woman MP for Aylesbury and the villages.
I am grateful to you for the trust you placed in me when I was elected in July 2024. For as long as I hold this role, I will stand up and deliver for Aylesbury and the villages to the very best of my abilities.
Prior to my election, I had a career in government, in the private sector and in the charity sector. As a charity leader, I campaigned on behalf of people caught up in conflict and crisis around the world and helped to get them the support they deserve.
Now as your MP, I’m committed to delivering change here in Aylesbury and the villages. I’m always out and about meeting as many residents, community groups, charities and businesses as possible, to listen to your concerns and priorities.
I have already picked up several of the issues that matter to Aylesbury constituency residents – from improving local infrastructure to improving GP appointment access, and getting better support for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
I currently serve as a Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. In this role, I am working to support the Secretary of State Steve Reed MP to deliver on our Government’s plans to protect nature; clean up our coasts, rivers and lakes; support our British farmers; and strengthen animal welfare protections.
I am committed to being an active, visible and responsive constituency MP across Aylesbury and the villages. The best way to reach me is on laura.kyrkesmith.mp@parliament.uk. You can also sign up to my E-newsletter mailing list via my website, www.lauraforaylesbury.org/news, to keep up to date with my work. I am here to serve you.
